Kremsmünsterhaus

Kremsmünsterhaus Review

Emperor Friedrich III is said to have died here in 1493. The building was done over in Renaissance style in 1578-80, and a story was added in 1616, with two turrets and onion domes. There's a memorial room to the emperor here; his heart is entombed in the Linz parish church, but the rest of him is in St. Stephen's cathedral in Vienna. The traditional rooms house one of Linz's best restaurants, Herberstein.
