Residenz Häupl Review
On the prettiest side of the Attersee, this inn has roots going back to 1831 (the seventh generation of the same family is running it). They have kept it up to date with a spiffy renovation. This is a sports Valhalla, with its own golf course, boating on a 400-horse-power boat, tennis, mountain biking, beach facility, rafting on the Traun river, and Nordic walking. Inside, guest rooms are charming, most of them with balconies and lush views. Best of all, the restaurant is so good it's a member of the celebrated culinary society the Châine des Rotisseurs.
