Weisses Rössl Review
Family-owned since the 1800s, the "White Horse" guest rooms and apartments, in nine connected houses, are full of country charm, pretty chintz fabrics, and quaint furniture. Many rooms have balconies with a lake view. Baths are luxurious, complete with controls to set the exact water temperature you desire. An added attraction is the outdoor pool, situated directly on the lake and heated to a constant 86°F year-round. The dining terraces, built to float over the water, are enchanting, and there you can enjoy the noted leek cream soup with scampi, Forelle Müllerin ("Miller's Daughter," a trout fried in butter), or corn-fed chicken in a rosemary gravy. The hotel is world-famous, so book well in advance, especially for the summer.
