Gasthof Drachenwand Review

"Preserve the old, discover the new" is the motto of the Eder family, and that is certainly followed at this lovely, off-the-beaten-track inn—a traditional Gasthof chalet, complete with Tyrolean hipped roof and a facade dotted with hunter-green shutters. Next to a small Baroque church and a former stop of the old Salzkammergutlokalbahn local railway, the inn enjoys a scenic backdrop: the Dragon Wall, a soaring limestone rock cliff west of the lake. Inside, the inn's rooms have been sleekly renovated. A five-minute walk from the hotel's shady garden will get you to the lakeside beach. The restaurant is supplied by local farmers and the menu is reasonably priced.
