Grüner Baum Review

Glowing with a daffodil-yellow facade, sitting directly on the shore of the lake, and at the foot of a picture-perfect square, this traditional inn is one of Hallstatt's most memorable accommodations. Dating from 1760, it was the house of the most important salt trader in town. Today its renovated interiors are friendly and homey; family pets sit near the reception desk on 19th-century armchairs, offering a special welcome. Rooms are simply furnished; try to get one with a balcony facing the lake.
