Grundlsee

From Bad Aussee, journey into deepest, darkest Salzkammergut with a trip to the Styrian end of the region. Head to the Grundlsee, a small, scenic lake, and take, from its eastern end, a walk of 15 minutes to arrive at nearly hidden, even smaller Toplitzsee. Legend has it that the Nazis loaded it up with their golden plunder. Diver teams of the Allied forces, however, came up empty.
