Schloss Leopoldskron Review

The interiors of this glamorous palace, with 12 beautifully decorated suites, match the rococo style of the building perfectly. Originally built for Archbishop Leopold von Firmian, it became the summer residence of Max Reinhardt in 1918. Enjoy the decoration of the Venetian Room and visit the space furnished as an exact copy of the St. Gallen monastery library. The mountain backdrop, viewed from the enchanting terrace, earned Hollywood immortality in the Sound of Music. The nearby historic Meierhof building offers 55 elegantly furnished standard rooms. A rich breakfast buffet is served in the former dining room of the archbishop.
