Rosenvilla Review

A haven of peace and tranquillity, this upscale bed-and-breakfast is across the Salzach River from the Altstadt. You enter the pretty suburban villa through an arbored garden gate. Guest rooms, all designed with taste, are a seductive mixture of contemporary, French Empire, and Biedermeier accents, with pretty fabrics and lots of light. Some have balconies overlooking the soothing garden with its expanse of velvet green lawn, tiled pathways, and a little pond with ducks. A special three-day offer includes dinner at the owners' top-ranked restaurant, Pfefferschiff. The Rosenvilla is a 20-minute walk from the center.
