Weisse Taube Review

In the heart of the pedestrian area of the Altstadt, the centuries-old "White Dove" is around the corner from Mozartplatz, the Salzburg Museum, and the Residenz. Comfortably renovated into a hotel—now family-run for four generations—this 14th-century burgher's house has been traditionally restored, but some time-burnished touches remain: uneven floors, ancient stone archways, and wood-beam ceilings. Guest rooms are simply furnished, with dark-wood accents. Several no-smoking rooms are available, and the main section of the breakfast room is also no-smoking.

    Everything great except the bathroom

    We stayed in September of 2007. The cost was 98E/nt for a double with breakfast. Location was excellent. Owners and staff are outstanding--friendly, helpful, courteous and commited to excellent service. The room with fortress view was spacious, the bed comfortable. the bathroom was dark and dated, needing more lighting, hooks for clothing, space for toiletries, an easier to step into shower and a better system for keeping shower water from running onto the room floor.
