Fodor's Review

About a 15-minute walk downriver from the Altstadt in the Mülln neighborhood, you'll often find Festival artists celebrating after their shows in this lovely 1548 Gasthaus (pub). Theu come for the traditional Salzburg cooking: the delicious Schott (cheese) soup, or the potato goulash with chunks of country ham, spinach dumplings in brown butter, or original Wiener Schnitzel, and freshly tapped beer from the neighboring Augustinerbräu. The centuries-old

building has fetching vaulted ceilings, leaded-glass windows, heavy wooden tables, and homespun decorations, and there's a big shady garden for dining in summer, rather close to the busy cross-town intersection, but offering a lovely view of the Gaisberg.
