Fodor's Review

With its unusual collection of Alpine birds and animals, including endangered species, the zoo alone is worth the trip up the Hungerburg. Go by bus or take the funicular from its city center underground station, and get off at Alpenzoo. Or from the Markthalle bus terminal, buses marked "W" run every 30 minutes to the Alpenzoo between 9 am and 6 pm.
