With its name translating as "light," this luxurious B&B is certainly a luminous discovery, an outrageously cute Hansel-and-Gretel chalet where hospitality and attention to every detail are paramount. Owner, Renate Tenmann, who was born in the building, even offers room service for drinks. You enter through a small porch—an ideal setting for summer breakfasts—into a small reception area scented with fresh flowers. The warmly decorated rooms, some with the original
wood floors, all have balconies and terra-cotta bathrooms; every one is individual, and all are seductive. Out in the garden, a tiny Tirolean hut houses the sauna (in winter you can jump out right into the snow, if you're brave enough). Book well in advance in high season.
