Fodor's Review

Quirky, endearing, and in an unrivalled position over ancient stone arcades in the pedestrian heart of the old town, this hotel begs you to fall in love with it—and you might, as long as you put character and atmosphere above slick service and cutting edge amenities. Exuding undiluted Tirolean history, in the same family since 1465, it's where the young Mozart stayed and decided it was something to write home about. Rooms are simple but comfortable, with rustic furnishings—all

are different: No. 43 has a bay window and a view of the Golden Roof and the mountains; one in the attic has a balcony; some have shared facilities but bargain prices. Service is super friendly, but you might have to wait for a multi-tasking staffer to become available. Breakfast is served in a fabulous original stube.

Breakfast with Mozart

This is a great little hotel, perfect location in a perfect town, Innsbruck has much to offer. I stayed there in november for two weeks and returned to stay there again at Xmas and New Year. The single interior rooms are adequate but a bit noisy when the hotel is busy. It is true, the housemaids are over enthusiastic but the best service anywhere. The staff are lovely, helpful and friendly, the breakfast is outstanding, I would only ever stay here

if I ever returned to Innsbruck.

A Home away from Home

The staff here are very kind. A great breakfast is included, very fresh and good selection. Also very well priced especailly given location. Some more expensive rooms but also so very affordable accomodation. In the off season I had a single room (own bathroom though w/shared shower) for 35 Euros. If you stay longer here ask for a discount. Usually three nights at regular price, rest of first week at -10%, second week at -15% etc. I would stay here

again in a second. But would also recommend it for my parents (little more sophisticated tastes)as they seem to have quite a variety of rooms.

the hotel you never get to stay at

wouldn't know how to rate the hotel. the person I spoke to was very freindly, but she needed to be--the hotel dumped me for a better deal. I was told that they had "overbooked." right. better deal. sent me packing. did make reservations for me elsewhere which turned out to be a bit disastrous. screw the Hotel where folk don't get to stay--even with a gauranteed raesrvation.

I've styayed at this hotel twice over the last 10 years. It's in a perfect location in the pedestrian part of the city. I wouldn't think of staying anywhere else whenever I visit Innsbruck.
