Fodor's Review

This solid red-shuttered house, a friendly family-run hotel, is within a five-minute walk of the city center, but is in a quiet area and offers a great value to anyone travelling on a budget. Spacious rooms gleam with natural woods and old-fashioned style. Some of the upper rooms on the west side have large bay windows with gorgeous views of the mountains. The delights of the old town, and a wide array of restaurants, are close by.

Out of the way but great service and rare 3 beds in a room!

This was one of the few triple rooms in our Apline holiday that actually had three beds - not 2 beds and a foldout chair/couch. And the staff was really really helpful and friendly! The location was fine if you don't mind walking a bit; it's not very centrally located but it was a good deal.

Very quiet neighborhood hotel

The location of the hotel is in a very quiet neighborhood on a hill just up from the Old Town. The walk uphill serves well after a great dinner, but the bus does stop nearby, however. Our room was very clean and quiet. The young man and young lady working at the hotel were extremely nice and helpful. The Tautermann feels a lot like being in someone's home.
