Fodor's Expert Review Raffl's St. Antonerhof
Arlbergstrasse 69, St. Anton am Arlberg, Tirol, A-6580, Austria
The Raffl family has created a distinctive and memorable hotel filled with antiques and art of all kinds. Each room has its own style and plenty of wood and stone, with hosts Ricky and Gunther introducing many quirky touches, such as huge cacti and open bathrooms. There's a small spa with a sauna, steam room, and infrared cabin. The restaurant Raffl's Eat Art is first-class, serving creative haute cuisine that never fails to delight—oysters, caviar, veal cheek, and truffles all feature. The wine list is extensive, and the desserts are luscious. The hotel also rents five apartments on a sunny slope with a gorgeous view of St. Anton.
