For myriad reasons, it's hard to imagine a better choice for a Kitzbuhel stay than this superluxurious but informal and relaxed former farmstead, with unrivaled year-round proximity to outdoor activities. In winter, there's a ski-lift steps away, and a great view of the downhill run of the Hahnenkamm World Cup race. In summer it's on a 9-hole golf course, with the kitchen garden beside the 4th green. Run with loving devotion by owner Signe Reisch, the heavily timbered
and balconied building is drenched in everything Tirolean, and full of antiques (including an ancient beehive, a bedhead from 1832, and a 1712 chest) and plush furnishings. Every room is different, but all have a balcony, and the hotel is constantly being updated. The extensive wellness area has an indoor pool.
