The Penz Review
The ultramodern steel-and-glass architecture of this luxury hotel, designed by the renowned French architect Dominique Perrault, comes as a surprise inside the Old City. The guest rooms are small but elegant, although some find the decor a bit sterile. The rooftop American Bar makes a fine gathering spot, complete with panoramic views of the Alps. This is a business hotel, and traveling executives will feel right at home. Vacationing families might feel a bit out of place.
