Fodor's Review:

The Alpenzoo has an unusual collection of Alpine birds and animals, including endangered species. The zoo alone is worth the trip up the Hungerburg. A ticket that includes round-trip transportation is EUR 9. From the Markthalle bus terminal, buses marked "W" run every 30 minutes to the Alpenzoo between 7 AM and 10 pm.

  • Cost: EUR 7, children EUR 3.50; free with Innsbruck Card
  • Open: Apr.-Oct., daily 9-6; Nov.-Mar., daily 9-5
