Tiroler Volkskunstmuseum

Fodor's Review:

The Tiroler Volkskunstmuseum (Tyrolean Folk Art Museum), in the same complex as the Hofkirche, exhibits Christmas crèches, costumes, rustic furniture, and entire rooms from old farmhouses and inns, decorated in styles ranging from Gothic to Rococo. Displays are somewhat static, and the information cards are in German. The small Christmas Manger Museum, on the other hand, is fascinating. At this writing it was under renovation until early 2009.

  • Cost: EUR 5
