A 300-year-old coaching inn includes an expansive health-and-fitness complex. Guests can ride, swim, ski, or play tennis and squash. The tennis school is one of the best in Austria. It's also a popular mealtime stop for tour buses, so it can get crowded. Rooms in the newer section are spacious; some are studios with old-fashioned ceramic stoves, in keeping with the Tyrolean decor. Everything, from tapestry to linens and mattresses are in natural organic fibers. (There are even wood shavings in some of the pillows and duvets.) Children will enjoy the kids' farm. Pros: it's a "green" option; plenty of activities. Cons: not as charming as it once was; very expensive Internet.
