Built around 1500, Schloss Tratzberg is a romantic late-Gothic jewel sitting atop a vertical rock face, commanding a sweeping view of the Inn Valley. The castle, which has been a family residence for some 300 years, is accessible on foot (a 20-minute hike) or by hopping on the little trolley (EUR 2 round-trip) from the parking area. The one-hour "walkman" tour of the castle is accompanied by guides who are happy to answer further questions. Children are offered their own, rather playful audiovisual tour, offered in a fairy-tale fashion.
