Fodor's Review:

Mythical masked figures invade the streets of Telfs every five years just before Lent, when the town hosts its traditional Carnival celebration of Schleicherlaufen. This well-attended event dates back to the 16th century. Some of the grotesque masks can be seen in the local museum. The next Schleicherlaufen festival is in 2010.
