This huge pink building re-creates much of the legendary hospital that stood here until a fire destroyed it in the 1950s. Carved-wood paneling and rich Oriental carpets abound. The rooms are luxurious to the extreme; the service is attentive but not obtrusive. The Hospizalm restaurant has earned a reputation for creative cooking: you might be offered cream of lobster or oyster soup, veal or venison, or fish dishes. The wine list is outstanding. Pros: plenty of atmosphere; great restaurant. Cons: make sure you are booked in the main building instead of a nearby building.
