Much of this 14th-century double chalet with heavily beamed ceilings and old stonework has been beautifully restored. A spacious lobby with inviting armchairs and a fireplace is the ideal place for reading a book or enjoying afternoon tea. The rooms are attractively decorated in Tyrolean style. The excellent restaurant, with its small Stuben (side rooms), is known for such Austrian specialties as cabbage soup and fillet points in light garlic sauce. Pros: family-friendly inn; mountain views from all sides; good breakfast buffet. Cons: not a party place; loud church bells.
