This modern house built in the traditional Tyrolean style radiates elegance without feeling too stuffy. The same is true of the luxurious bedrooms, some with ceramic stoves and beautiful carved walls and ceilings. Each has a balcony overlooking the mountains, and a few have fireplaces, canopy beds, and hot tubs set in windowed alcoves offering stunning views. Every Saturday evening there is a huge buffet dinner and live music. The hotel has a loyal following, so book ahead. Pros: wonderful spa; southern rooms have great views; friendly service. Cons: some traffic noise; east and west rooms face parking lot.
