Gerlos

Gerlos

The sensationally scenic Route 165 climbs east out of Zell am Ziller up to Gerlos, a less glitzy but still splendid choice for a summer or winter holiday, with the 8,300-foot Kreuzjoch mountain looming in the background. Scheduled buses make the run up from Zell am Ziller. The Gerlos ski slopes are varied, and in summer the same slopes offer excellent hiking.
