Bad Blumau Review

Designed by the late visionary artist Friedensreich Hundertwasser, this phenomenal spa-hotel complex has undulating walls covered by a brilliant checkered patchwork, with turrets, mismatched windows, sloping rooftop gardens, and multicolored ceramic pillars. Rooms have curved walls, soothing fabrics, and oddly angled bathrooms. Take an evening swim (even in winter) in the outdoor thermal pool, whose natural hot springs keep the water at a constant 34°C (92°F). Your days can be filled with spa treatments, from sound therapy to hay wraps—for an additional charge. The spa restaurants serve tasty Austrian fare, using produce and meat provided by local farmers.
