Skiing

Although not well known to North Americans, Schladming is part of the Dachstein-Tauren Region. one of Austria's most popular downhill and cross-country ski destinations. Free ski buses connect the more remote mountains in the region, but you'll have plenty of skiing without having to leave the slopes. Schladming's so-called "Four Mountain Ski Link" connects the four largest Styrian skiing mountains allowing you to ski nonstop from Hauser-Kaibling via Planai and Hochwurzen to Reiteralm.
