On the main street of Neusiedl, this well-regarded upscale eatery is ill-marked, but worth the trouble to search for (it's on the left side about halfway down as you're driving through town from north to south). One side of the unique glass-and-wood structure opens onto an inviting terrace, shaded by canvas stretched between chestnut trees. Begin with a starter of organic sheep cheese and watercress puree. Continue with big, tender roasted duck or glazed calf's liver.
Top it off with a peach yogurt tart. The gasthaus now includes five bright, spacious apartments, which share a common kitchen.
