St. Jacob (St. James's)

St. Jacob (St. James's) Review

The late-Gothic 14th-century St. Jacob was Protestant during the mid-1500s, making it Austria's first Protestant church. Its marble pulpit dates from 1555; the ornate Baroque high altar contrasts grandly with the Gothic crucifix. If the stair entry is open and you don't mind the rather steep climb, the view from the 310-foot tower is marvelous.
