Although the rates might lead you to believe you're buying resort ambience, the reality is that you get fairly basic accommodations here. Moreover, the units need a bit of refurbishment. But you also get a private swimming pool right outside your room. Perfect for couples craving privacy, the villas have full kitchens, lots of space, and sunken garden showers. The open-air dining area, built around a pond filled with tilapia, is a great place to congregate after breakfast or to chat with other guests at lunch. Cheers Mate is a small restaurant that serves basic pub fare. The hotel is not on the beach, but Sapphire Bay is less than a 10-minute walk away. Bugs can be a problem at night if you want to sit out by the pool; a can of aerosol spray is the cure.
