Behind Hotel 1829, this lovingly restored home was built in the early 1800s by Danish entrepreneur Hans Haagensen and is surrounded by an equally impressive cookhouse, outbuildings, and terraced gardens. A lower-level banquet hall now showcases antique prints and photographs. Guided tours begin at the lookout tower at Blackbeard's Castle and continue to the circa-1860s Villa Notman, Britannia House, Haagensen House, and Hotel 1829. The first tour starts at 9:30 AM.
