Point Udall
Point Udall Review
This rocky promontory, the easternmost point in the United States, is about a half-hour drive from Christiansted. A paved road takes you to an overlook with glorious views. More adventurous folks can hike down to the pristine beach below. On the way back, look for the Castle Aura, an enormous Moorish-style mansion. It was built by Nadia Farber, the former Contessa de Navarro, who's an extravagant local character. Point Udall is sometimes a popular spot for thieves, so don't leave anything valuable in your car, and leave it unlocked.
