The Galleon

The Galleon Review

This popular dockside restaurant is always busy. Start with the Caesar salad or perhaps a grilled lamb lollipop with a tamarind glaze. The chef's signature dish is a tender filet mignon topped with fresh local lobster. Fish lovers should try the grilled mahimahi with an artichoke and tomato salad. Take Route 82 out of Christiansted, and then turn left at the sign for Green Cay Marina.

First time visit. Outstanding dinner, service and views. Best waiter we've had on the Island. Pricy but worth the visit.

We don't mind spending good money for a great meal at a superb location. The Galleon offers neither. And the time between our appetizer and our dinner was an hour. Far too much.

The Caesar salad is delicious but the rest of our meals were just good. But it was the most expensive meal of our 9 nights on St. Croix. The atmosphere isn't worth the price either. Once the sun goes down and you can't see the marina, you are just in a 1970's decor room.

Really disappointing. We gave it a second try this year but, for our money, we'll return to Bacchus and Kendricks instead.
