Fodor's Review:

Deeded to the island as a public park, this heart-shape stretch of white sand is considered one of the most beautiful in the world. The bottom of the bay is flat and sandy, so this is a place for sunning and swimming rather than snorkeling. On weekends and holidays the sounds of music from groups partying under the sheds fill the air. There's a bar, snack shack, and beachwear boutique; bathhouses with restrooms, changing rooms, and saltwater showers are close by. Sunfish and paddleboats are the most popular rentals at the water-sports kiosk. East of the beach is Udder Delight, a one-room shop at St. Thomas Dairies that serves a Virgin Islands tradition—a milk shake with a splash of Cruzan rum. Kids can enjoy virgin versions, which have a touch of soursop, mango, or banana flavoring. If you arrive between 8 AM and 5 PM, you pay an entrance fee of $3 per person, $1 per vehicle, and 25 per child under age 12.

I was here in 1982 and again this past summer.

Sand is fine, white soft, water clear blue/green, there are lifeguards if you bring young ones.

Picture perfect. Take a walk and your camera.

Picturesque beach. great for quiet swimming, and nice snorkeling along the rocky edges. Large sea turtles swam with us.

Beautiful sand, scenery, and atmosphere. This is a must see! Our favorite beach ever. Costs $4 / person + $2 / car. Take bug spray if you're there after sunset, the mosquitos come out.

I loved this beach...the sand was clean and soft, the water crystal clear and warm. There's a decent snack bar to get something to eat or drink and a little gift shop with a good selection of items you may need as well as souveniers. You can also rent a lounge chair and/or float chairs for the water. The view is stunning. It wasn't very crowded the day we went (a weekday) and it was very relaxing and peaceful. If you go to St. Thomas, make sure to reserve one day to spend on this gorgeous beach.
