Miss Lucy's Restaurant

$$-$$$, Caribbean, St. John

User Rating: **** 4.0

Fodor's Review:

Sitting seaside at remote Friis Bay, Miss Lucy's dishes up Caribbean food with a contemporary flair. Dishes like tender conch fritters, a spicy West Indian stew called callaloo, and fried fish make up most of the menu, but you also find a generous paella filled with seafood, sausage, and chicken on the menu. Sunday brunches are legendary, and if you're around on the full moon, stop by for the monthly full-moon party. The handful of small tables near the water are the nicest, but if they're taken or the mosquitoes are bad, the indoor tables do nicely.

Worth the drive

It's a ways from Cruz Bay, by island standards, but worth the ride to Miss Lucy's. We went for Sunday brunch and found a lovely view, terrific service and friendly people. Would definitely recommend it

Unique St. John Gem

This is one of our favorite restaurants on St. John. Eat outside (atmosphere outside is a 5; atmosphere inside is a 2!) - of course outside you will likley be pestered by goats - all part of the delightful atmosphere of St. John! Food is very good and we have always had good and friendly service. Don't miss the Sunday brunch.
