Regent Palms

Fodor's Review:

High on luxury and glitz, this is a place to see and be seen. The infinity pool, one of the chicest in the Caribbean, has sun pods (round, white cushioned loungers), a swim-up bar, and iPods to borrow. Suites, which have colonial-style furnishings and luxurious bedding and appointments, have two or three bedrooms but can be subdivided to create one-bedroom suites and regular rooms (which will have only a kitchenette); all bedrooms have a separate terrace. One big plus for families is the washer and dryer in all but regular rooms. The Regent Hotels Group has taken over management and has greatly improved the service. The spa is stunningly beautiful, offering every treatment imaginable; it certainly ranks among the best in the Caribbean. A new unique feature in the rooms is access to every radio statio in the world, so you can hear reports from back home while you're in paradise. Pros: Great people-watching, lively atmosphere, one of the best spas in the Caribbean. Cons: Some would say busy not lively, a little formal and stuffy (cover-ups are required when you go to the pool).
