Turks and Caicos Islands Hotels

Ocean Club

  • Grace Bay Rd. Map It
  • Casual Chic

  • Family-friendly resort with shuttles between the two shared properties
  • Screened balconies and porches allow a respite from incessant air-conditioning

  • Although clean, furniture is dated
  • If no car rental, you have to take the shuttle to get closer to the "hub."

Fodor's Review

Enormous, locally painted pictures of hibiscus make a striking first impression as you enter the reception area at one of the island's most well-established condominium resorts. Regular shuttles run along the ½-mile (1-km) stretch of Grace Bay Beach between two artfully landscaped sister properties, Ocean Club (popularly known as Ocean Club "East") and Ocean Club West, from 6 am to 10:30 pm. Ocean Club has the advantage of a quieter location away from most of the development;

it's just a short walk from Provo Golf & Country Club. Plenty of beach and pool toys make Ocean Club a good family option.

Ocean Club West

No, it's not the Four Seasons, but it is CLEAN, a great value, and on beautiful Grace Bay Beach!! The large 1 or 2 bedroom suites with full kitchens are fabulous for families! Ocean Club West is a lot nicer than its sister resort Ocean Club (East.)

Great Getaway

My wife and I stayed at Ocean Club East (the older of the two) apr 30 - may 6 '06 and loved it! Our first time to TCI, everything looked beautiful to us. We were given vouchers for meals and drinks which was very good because travel is not exactly easy and everything is very expensive.The shuttles and busses were often "on call" and the service was spotty at best but since nobody is in a hurry it's just part of the islands. The resort is nicely landscaped

and the staff attentive. Beach is great water crystal clear. Bring your wallet: bus fare 1 way$4pp, bacon/egg breakfast $15, bottle beer $6.

Sort of like Miami Beach

Grace Bay is beautiful, but crowded. Hotels and condos are becoming wall-to-wall, and Ocean Club is part of the phenomenon. Very nice rooms with ocean views, top floor was nice, but no elevators. Lots of New Yorkers, but you get used to them. In room cable TV and phones, wireless internet, nice beach front bar/pub.
