Angela's Top o' the Cove New York Style Delicatessen. Order deli sandwiches, salads, enticingly rich desserts, and freshly baked pastries at this island institution on Leeward Highway, just south of Turtle Cove. From the deli case you can buy the fixings for a picnic; the shelves are stocked with an eclectic selection of fancy foodstuffs, as well as beer and wine. It's open at 6:30 am for a busy trade in coffees and cappuccinos. This is a cheesesteak comparable to what you get in Philly, but the location isn't where most tourists stay-it's worth the drive, though. Baci Ristorante. Aromas redolent of the Mediterranean waft from the open kitchen as you enter this intimate eatery east of Turtle Cove. Outdoor seating is on a romantic canal-front patio, one of the lovelier settings on Provo. The menu offers a small but varied selection of Italian dishes. Veal is prominent on the menu, but main courses also include pasta, chicken, fish, and brick-oven pizzas. You'll never see redder tomatoes than those in the tomato-and-mozzarella Caprese salad; a standout entrée is the chicken with vodka-cream sauce. House wines are personally selected by the owners and complement the tasteful wine list. Try tiramisu for dessert with a flavored coffee drink. Wear bug spray at night. Magnolia Wine Bar and Restaurant. Restaurateurs since the early 1990s, hands-on owners Gianni and Tracey Caporuscio make success seem simple. Expect well-prepared, uncomplicated choices that range from European to Asian to Caribbean. You can construct an excellent meal from the outstanding appetizers; do not miss the spring rolls and the grilled-vegetable-and-fresh-mozzarella stack. Finish your meal with the mouthwatering molten chocolate cake. The atmosphere is romantic, the presentations are attractive, and the service is careful. It's easy to see why the Caporuscios have a loyal following. The adjoining wine bar includes a handpicked list of specialty wines, which can be ordered by the glass. Sharkbites Bar & Grill. A local favorite with a huge deck over the water overlooks Turtle Cove Marina. The standard fare incorporates everything from the local catch in sandwiches to nachos and beer. It's a casual place for lunch, and during the day sometimes sharks will swim around the deck—exciting for kids and a good destination if you don't want to do fine dining for dinner. Tiki Hut. From its location overlooking the marina, the ever-popular Tiki Hut continues to serve consistently tasty, value-priced meals in a fun atmosphere. Locals take advantage of the Wednesday night $14 chicken-and-rib special, and the lively bar is a good place to sample local Turks Head brew. There's a special family-style menu (the best kids' menu in Provo) and kids' seating. Don't miss pizzas made with the signature white sauce, or the jerk wings, coated in a secret barbecue sauce and then grilled—they're out of this world!
