This expansive enclave is just a short distance from the airport but somehow seems miles away. Pink buildings sprawl along a perfect stretch of coast. Just in front of the hotel is the only private (though man-made) beach on the island. The resort has all the usual amenities, including a highly regarded spa. The hotel restaurants are among the best in Tobago, and there's always an animated crowd around the pool bar. Store Bay is, quite literally, next door and Pigeon Point a short walk away. You can't beat the ocean-view villa for its glitz factor, including gold-plated bathroom fittings, a TV the size of a small car, and a private sundeck. Arrive in style by booking the hotel's Rolls (originally owned by Errol Flynn) for the two-minute trip from the airport ($15 per person). Pros: beautifully appointed rooms; the only private beach on the island; impeccable and understated service. Cons: pool area can get a bit too animated; no Wi-Fi; some rooms are quite far from the beach and reception.
