Hilton Trinidad & Conference Centre

Lady Young Rd., Port of Spain, Trinidad, Trinidad and Tobago

The Hilton was the most upscale hotel on the island before the arrival of the Hyatt Regency, and it still commands a loyal following. On the side of a hill overlooking the Queen's Park Savannah, it offers beautiful landscaping and breathtaking views of Port of Spain and the Gulf of Paria. Its unique construction means that the lobby is at the top of the hill and guests take an elevator down to the rooms, which are standard Hilton issue. Spa, golf, and wedding packages are available for vacationers. President Barack Obama and most of his delegation stayed here for the 2009 Summit of the Americas. Those wanting the best views should pick a lower-numbered floor as those are higher up the hillside.
