Getting to Trinidad and Tobago: You can fly nonstop to Trinidad from several U.S. cities, but not directly to Tobago. Most people hop over to Tobago on a small plane from Trinidad. Trinidad's Piarco International Airport (POS), about 30 minutes east of Port of Spain (take Golden Grove Road north to the intersection with the Churchill-Roosevelt Highway and then follow it west for about 10 mi [16 km] to Port of Spain), is a thoroughly modern facility complete with 16 air bridges. Tobago's small Crown Point Airport (TAB) is the gateway to the island.

Hassle Factor: Medium to high.

Nonstops: Nonstops to Trinidad from Atlanta (Delta), Ft. Lauderdale (Spirit), Houston (Continental), Miami (American, Caribbean Airlines), New York-JFK (American, Caribbean Airlines, Delta), New York-Newark (Continental). None to Tobago.
