$$-$$$$, French, St. Maarten
Fodor's Review:
You'd be hard-pressed to find a more enjoyable evening in Philipsburg. Owner Jean Pierre Pomarico's warmth shines through as he greets guests and ushers them into the comfy seaside restaurant. Low-key, blue-accented decor, white bamboo chairs, watercolors lining the walls, and candles -- along with the sound of the nearby surf -- create a very relaxing atmosphere. But you came for the food. Well, the pastas, seafood, and meat entrées are delicious. House specialties are lobster bisque and/or lobster thermidor (a succulent tail oozing with cream and Swiss cheese) and are fabulous. There's valet parking. A $29 prix-fixe menu is a bargain and the restaurant is open every day for lunch and dinner.
