Fodor's Review:
Evenings at the Golden Lemon hotel's restaurant begin with cocktails and hors d'oeuvres on the bougainvillea-draped flagstone patio. A set three-course dinner is served in a tasteful room with crystal and white wrought-iron chandeliers, high-back cane chairs, delft porcelain, and arched doorways. Tempting dishes range from breadfruit puffs in peanut sauce to lobster cakes with passion-fruit mayonnaise to grilled tilapia with eggplant-and-sweet-pepper relish. Sunday brunch packs the patio for such offerings as banana pancakes and legendary beef stew made with rum. Owners Arthur Leaman and Martin Kreiner hold clever court (cajole them for anecdotes about conducting business in the Caribbean).

Lunch at the Golden Lemon

My husband and I stopped in for lunch while circumnavigating the island. The way the inn is incorporated into the surrounding village and yet separate from it reminded me of the wonderful New Orleans courtyards, where you never know what kind of delights await you on the other side of the door. Service was friendly and easy, attentive without being hovering. We ordered flying fish sandwich, conch chowder, a shared salad, Tings, and a shared mango margarita. Everything was fresh & tasty and the cost came to around US $40, including tax and service charge. The combination of blues and yellows in the restaurant decor was bright and relaxing and we enjoyed watching the birds dart about the trees and bushes decked with tropical blooms. We thought the Golden Lemon provided good food in a lovely setting at a very good value and if we return to St. Kitts we will eat lunch there again.Lovlier Than The 1st Time

Our 2nd time @ The Golden Lemon. We had a Villa this time - very cool - living room opens up to the plunge pool. Food was ALWAYS wonderful. Breakfast: Nummy. Brunch: Again nummy. Dinner: You Guessed It. Quiet other than the surf. Verrry relaxing. Had a massage next to the plunge pool listening to the surf. Solomon remains true to form. So sorry to leave...resolve to return sooner.
