The high season on St. Kitts and Nevis is relatively short, starting in in mid-December and stretching into early or mid-April. The shoulder season (roughly April to mid-June and November to mid-December) offers lower rates. Rates are lower still from mid-June through November, but as this coincides with hurricane season, things are usually quiet.
Carnival on St. Kitts is celebrated during the 10 days right after Christmas.
The St. Kitts Music Festival in late June is the biggest event on the island and draws international singing stars.
September on St. Kitts is devoted to independent festivals.
Nevis calls its summer carnival Culturama, and it's celebrated in late July and early August. In mid-September, Heritage Week celebrates the island's history with several celebrations.
The Nevis Culinary Heritage Exposition brings in guest chefs for cooking demonstrations and wine tastings the last week of October.
