This luxurious hotel right in Gustavia received a welcome overhaul in 2006, and its new incarnation is the last word in luxury. Each apartment-suite is equipped with every modern convenience: iPod-dock clock radios, multiple flat-screen TVs, and complete minikitchens with a Häagen-Dazs-stocked refrigerator-freezer, and an espresso machine. You even have a computer and printer in the room! The hotel is a good option if you don't want to do much driving -- it's within walking distance to everything in town if you don't mind climbing the hill. One- and two-bedroom suites with private decks and black and gold tile plunge pools spill down a hill overlooking quaint Gustavia Harbor. Summer rates and special Internet and honeymoon packages are offered. The Carl Gustaf restaurant, known for its classic French cuisine, is spectacular for sunset cocktails and dinner over the twinkle of the harbor lights.
