High season runs roughly from mid-December through mid-April; in the off-season, rates at the larger resorts are usually reduced by at least 40%. Seasonal discounts vary dramatically by resort and by island, with some of the luxury resorts offering better deals periodically throughout the year, though the most-luxurious resorts are always expensive. Inexpensive hotels and guesthouses have little or no seasonal variation in their rates.
The St. Vincent Blues & Rhythms Festival is held in March. The SVG Gospelfest is held throughout the month of April. Vincy Mas, the St. Vincent Carnival celebration, is the island's biggest cultural festival, beginning at the end of June and culminating in a huge street party in July.
Bequia has its own Bequia Blues Festival in late January or early February. An Easter Regatta on Easter weekend brings everyone out to watch boat races. The Bequia Carnival is a summer celebration in late June or early July.
The Canouan Regatta is held in May, and the Canouan Carnival is held at the end of July. The Easterval Regatta on Union Island is held on Easter weekend. The two-week Mustique Blues Festival begins in e January and ends in early February.
