Mary's Boon Beach Plantation Review

A shaded courtyard welcomes guests at this quirky, informal guesthouse on a 3-mi-long stretch of Simpson Bay. It has the funky feel of the Florida Keys.Pilot Mary Pomeroy chose this site because of its proximity to the airport. (Ask someone to tell you about her life and her mysterious disappearance.) If you like the idea of watching huge planes land, you will love it here. Renovated studio, one-, and two-bedroom units now have flat-screen TVs, wooden shutters with screens, and new linens as well as cathedral ceilings, enormous four-poster beds, and verandahs, but the furniture is mismatched and inelegant and the bathrooms are basic. Nevertheless, this feels like the "old Caribbean".
