An $80 million facelift brings the Radisson up to par with any of the full-service resorts in the Caribbean. The family-friendly resort has a lovely beach area, huge infinity pool, marina, shops, and the continuing renovations will complete a large spa and fitness facility. The Guest Enrichment program adds cooking classes, French lessons, rum tastings, and massage workshops. There are activities like poolside yoga, Caribbean dance lessons, and a full water-sport agenda. The rooms, while not huge, are decorated in an up-to-date Euro-mod Jonathan Adler style, with "sleep number"(adjustable firmness) beds, and flat-screen TVs and Internet. One-bedroom suites overlooking the marina feature sleeper sofas and space for small families. There are two restaurants, one casual, with a kind-of buffet menu and a rotisserie station, the other more formal. The attractive open-air lobby has a pleasant bar with artisan rums and tapas. Pros: brand-new for 2009; activities galore; plenty of space; great beach. Cons: need a car to get around.
