On the edge of Baie Nettlé, La Cigale has wonderful views of the lagoon from its dining room and its open-air patio, but the charm of the restaurant comes from the devoted attention of adorable owner Olivier, helped by his mother and brother, and various cousins, too. Stephane Istel's delicious food is edible sculpture: ravioli of lobster with wild mushrooms and foie gras is poached in an intense lobster bisque, and house-smoked swordfish and salmon is garnished with
goat cheese and seaweed salad drizzled with dill-lime vinaigrette. For dessert, the raspberry macaron is a favorite.
